What Is Sustainability?

A perfect summary would be: "Sustainability means meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. In addition to natural resources, we also need social and economic resources"

-McGill University

At Indoor Greens we take this to mean that if you cannot meet your corporate goals by producing the MOST VIABLE ECCONOMIC product to the customer ... you are not sustainable. By growing local you must 100% satisfy the most important part and that is being cost effective to the end user. Without that you are unique, fun, newsworthy but not sustainable.

If we can't commoditize the product we are growing ... we won't sell it.

About Us

Indoor Greens is built from a group of entrepreneurs. The people involved are all successful in their own certain field that allows new and different views to current market problems. The market problem identified here was cost effective methods to supply produce locally. All over the world trucking of daily consumables like lettuce is still happening. This is because all indoor farming methods require a "Value Added" markup. We said not good enough. Feed the masses not the 1% that can afford it.

For sure you all have had salad, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers grown indoors or in a hot house mentality. This technology is now being refined at a pace that really has long term advantage. We too are advancing that field by using our proprietary growing methods. These methods allow a price competitiveness not seen indoors. But it can't stop there. Definitely new projects like Strawberries, Blueberries, Bok Choi, Carrots, and mushrooms are on the radar.

Our mission is to change the vegetable market for the better by using our technology to make the production of these veggies 100% sustainable, more environmentally friendly, and cost effective.
